Do you like Books? How about WINNING books?

(Edit—This fundraiser ends January 21st!)
I know my site is fairly new, and I don't get many pageviews, but every time I write a new post I get a couple views. And guess what? That would be YOU!

So I want to use this opportunity to point out a great charity. If you like books and charity and possibly winning books by being charitable, might I suggest donating some money to World Builders?
World Builders is a charity created by fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss (Author of Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear). Every year he holds a fundraiser, after which he donates the funds raised to Heifer International. Heifer uses the funds to help families in need by giving them sustainable solutions to their problems—such as goats that can provide milk or chickens that lay eggs.

While donating for that reason alone would certainly be worth your hard earned money, Pat sweetens the deal by placing you in a lottery for every ten dollars you spend. Most of the prizes are books (many of them signed), as well as random things like DVD's, posters, and free manuscript critiques. Every ten bucks get's you one more spot in the lottery. And you can win multiple prizes. Plus, there are a TON of prizes, so your odds are actually quite good. Plus plus, there are some rare amazing things that can be had, such as an ARC of Stardust by Neil Gaiman.

So if you happen to be one of the rare people who come across my blog, consider donating a couple bucks. Here is Pat Rothfuss's blog if you would like to hear it from the man himself. It goes a long way, and you also get the chance to win something cool! The fundraiser ends January 21st!

Oh yeah . . . one more thing—share this if you like it! I'm still figuring out the HTML for the buttons, but somewhere around these words you should be able to find a place to click share!
