I always hate writing about why I haven't been writing, but I think this time I have a fairly decent excuse. The months leading up to June 6th, 2014, as well as the weeks after have been pretty hectic. What happened on June 6th, you ask?

(There's my hand! And to the right is my son.)
This here is Jonah Bjorn. He's been a lot of fun, but at the same time he doesn't seem too interested in my writing. Mostly he seems interested in my ability to feed him and change his diaper. And that's just fine. My wife and I have already been reading to him quite a bit, and I'm sure it won't be long before this little guys is spinning yarns of his own.

That being said, here's a short book update: My friend who has been combing through my first novel (which also happens to be my only novel) returned it to me when she visited little Jonah. She gave me some helpful advice and encouragement, a lot of it having to do with making my villains more believable. When I find the time, I'm probably going to rewrite a good chunk of the book and then start getting serious about trying to get that sucker published. And if it doesn't get published, oh well. It took Brandon Sanderson six novels before anyone noticed him!

That's all for now. I'll leave you with another photo of Jonah,
